It's an organization of graduate engineers of Bangladesh Water Development Board and Bangladesh Power Development Board and later all other organizations established from these two organizations. It works for professional standards development and interest of Engineers working in water and power sector of the country. Also works as an united platform of graduate engineers working in water and power sector to work together for national interest also.

Message from Secretary General

Bangladesh Water and Power Engineers Association (BWPEA) is one of the country’s most prestigious non-political professional organizations, representing graduate engineers from all disciplines over 60 years. BWPEA is committed to uniting engineers of the Water and Power Wings to contribute effectively to national development with focus on irrigation, water resources management, flood control, river research, climate change adaptation, erosion protection, power generation, transmission and distribution systems. The Association also works to strengthen professional excellence, protect the rights and dignity of engineers as well as promote their social, economic and cultural welfare.
As Secretary General, I firmly believe BWPEA encourages innovation, creative thinking and active participation in national development initiatives, while fostering strong professional relationships and engaging in public welfare activities for the betterment of society and the country.
